Are You Coming to Bantry?

If you plan to attend the Crowley Clan Gathering in Bantry, County Cork this September, you can save money by reserving before June 1, 2004. Details on the current fees for the banquet and other activities can be found here.

To convert your national currency to Euros, consult the website http://www.euro.ecb.int/en.html or consult your local newspaper. Children can attend the banquet on Saturday evening with their families for 30 Euros per child. Please send your fee directly to your country's representative. They are listed below.

This year's Crowley Clan Gathering will begin on Friday, September 3rd at the Westlodge Hotel in Bantry. Registration for the gathering will begin at 2 PM. The rest of the afternoon is free time to explore the town of Bantry and its many attractions.

At 6:30 PM there will be a sherry and wine reception at the Westlodge Hotel sponsored by J.J. Crowley. At 9:30 the festivities will move to J. J. Crowley's Pub on the square in Bantry for an evening of Irish music. A few Crowley musicians will be featured.

At 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 4th, we will leave Bantry (by either bus or car) to tour Carriganass Castle near Kealkil, the Gougane Barra Oratory, where you can purchase a picnic lunch, and Ahakeera, site of the Crowley Castle ruins. Don't forget to bring your camera and good walking shoes. We are also expecting to have a demonstration by a Crowley knight in full armor, as presented by James Crowley of California, USA.

At 8:00 PM the Crowley Clan Banquet will begin at the Westlodge Hotel with a keynote address by Brian Crowley, Member of the European Parliament.

On Sunday, September 5th, activities will include a chance to participate in the old West Cork sport of road bowling beginning at 11:00AM and a visit to the Kilnaruane Pill Stone. There will also be an outdoors Mass at Holy Well Shrine and Mass Rock at Beach at 2:30 PM.
